Four Blood Moons

blood moon 2

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 (Passover), was the beginning of a Tetrad (4) of Blood moons.  A Blood Moon is a lunar eclipse where the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. This causes the rays of light that filter over the earth from the Sun to the moon, make the Moon appear red like blood.  The Book of Joel prophesies in chapter 2 that signs such as this would occur in the heavens in the end times.  NASA has also predicted this most recent Tetrad.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. – Joel 2:31

The Four Blood Moons of 2014 and 2015 will fall on Jewish Holidays both years (Passover and Sukkot).  This is no coincidence, but has been orchestrated by the hand of Almighty God.  Three other times, Tetrads of Blood Moons have occurred in the last 500 years and each time, there have been significant happenings in the lives of the Jewish people and/or Israel.

The first was in 1492 with the expulsion of the Jews from Spain.  They were told to convert to Catholicism or get out.  This was also the year that Christopher Columbus discovered America.  Regardless of what is going on in this nation right now, God set up this nation so the Gospel could be preached throughout the Earth.  I believe also for it to be a support and an ally for Israel.  His purposes will prevail despite the weakness and failure of mankind.

The second Tetrad in the last 500 years occurred after 1948, when Israel became a state.  The third occurred in 1967, the year Israel won the six-day war to reclaim Jerusalem.

Beloved ones, Yeshua (Jesus) said to “watch and pray” (Luke 21:36).  We were born for such a time as this.  The Lord Jesus chose to put us here in these end times.  No matter what is going on in this world, these are exciting times for the believers in Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Messiah, the Anointed One).  One of my favorite Scriptures is this:

…But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. – Daniel 11:32 b
